Rose Garden is a two part poem. 

Written as a reflection of one of my past relationships, I explore space as a way to navigate emotional growth and time.

I revisited a garden that I went to on a date after we had broken up. It was in that garden that we first met and got to know each other. It was also in that garden that I was able to come to terms with a closing of a emotional chapter of my life.

I was able to write the first part of this two part poem there in a space that once brought me so much curiosity and happiness, while it was also a space that brought me a wave of sadness , empowerment, and closure.

I could go on and on about the multiple process's that I incorporated to write this piece but then I would be taking more of the mysticism away from the piece. As a observer of the poem I want you to participate too! Below I include a recording of me reciting this piece.
